Today’s wind turbines are higher than ever. As we know, wind speed increases with altitude. Considering that doubling of wind speed generates eight times more power, the technology is in constant evolution in order to offer higher energy capture. The common turbine hub height currently installed is in the 80 meter range. Knowing the importance of measuring wind at exact hub height, AAT has developed an 80 meter tubular tilt-up tower to respond to the actual market. We are the only one to offer the possibility to obtain wind data at the 80 meters level with a low cost tilt-up tower. The MEGA 80HD is the solution to measure wind at exact hub height and get the more accurate data possible for your project. This new and improved wind assessment technology has the potential to make wind energy easier to estimate and more reliable than ever.
